Some updates on my recent songwriting life!

“She turned to the sunlight And shook her yellow head,And whispered to her neighbor_ Winter is dead.”-2

It just occurred to me that I haven’t posted a blog article since January (Whaaaat??)…Time really does fly by! My long radio silence was due to my recent behind the scenes activities on a brand new project called “Song Brewery”.

I´ve decided that my love of songwriting is something I wanna share with the world, and with aspiring songwriters in particular. Over the past few years I have put my hands on anything related to the topic of songwriting. I´ve read countless books, blogposts, visited seminars, watched videos online, learned how to produce and even worked with a coach to get better at crafting songs stand out. And I did get better. My lyrics are more vivid, I learned to incorporate catchy hooks and recorded my first full band demos early this year.

I was also recently nominated for the US Songwriting Awards in the “Music for Motion Picture” category. I am still wildly excited over this nomination!

As a result, I thought it logical to bring to life a platform, on which I´ll share MY songwriting secrets with anyone interested in learning how to write songs that match their personal goals.

The Song Brewery will launch this summer and it holds many goodies for you. From online classes, to blog posts, to downloadable working sheets, Podcasts and so much more! My ultimate goal is to create a community of songwriters that love writing and discussing music and fostering new skills together.

I recently read this African proverb:

“If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together”.

So, if we manage to build up a positive environment, a community for songwriters of all ages and in all stages, we can rise higher than we thought!

Let´s do this! Sign up for my Song Brewery newsletter here…to be among the first ones to participate (and receive a free songwriting checklist).

Yours,

Katie
