“another year is over! 365 days that I survived….The new one´s just around the corner and this one is gonna be alright!”
“Next Year” was my holiday single of 2020 and I am very grateful that you guys kept listening to it in 2021! <3
I would like to take a moment to look back at the past 365 days and give thanks and share some of my learnings with you!
2021 was´t always easy for me or anyone. There were a lot of challenges crippling me in ways I hadn´t known in years. I was very sleepy this year, which I think was a result of my constant overthinking, but also partially because of the frustrations that came with walking away from my German PRO to the Irish one instead. I felt angry that I couldn´t release any new music this year during this transitional phase, but I know it was worth waiting, because the new PRO is doing a much better job! New music will come your way soon and I am very excited!
But to cut a long story short, alongside all the internal and external battles came a lot of learnings as well. I got reminded to not let go of my faith. I prayed a lot this year, mainly for others. I believe that prayers for other people stand better chances to get answered. Maybe because there are no roadblocks. When asking for myself, I quickly start self-sabotaging on the receiving end. But aside from that, praying should not be about our ego in the first place. It really is a surrender to God and the more we learn to shrink, the more we ultimately grow (in love and trust). I´m glad I had the courage to shrink a little this year.
Thank you to everyone who stuck with me and to all you people that kept streaming some of my songs! This means the world to my little artist heart!
I am also grateful for the community I started building on my Song Brewery account, a community of emerging and established songwriters that share their love of music and the skills it takes to make it in the business of songwriting. Big things are to come in 2022 and I will soon announce more!
Now, for 2022 I wish you all the best, lots of love, happiness and plenty of new music! But worry not, I got you covered;)
Much love from
